Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. By using NourishShape, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. The service

NourishShape provides tools for meal planning, ingredient management, water and step tracking, weight and BMI records, fitness-focused preferences, calendar planning and progress summaries. Features, meal data and availability may change as the service develops.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials confidential and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security. We may require password changes or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service.

Google sign-in is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies.

4. Wellness and nutrition information

Meal calories, nutrient values, calorie targets, BMI classifications, hydration goals and other estimates are general guides. Actual nutritional values vary by brand, portion, preparation, recipe and individual circumstances. Always check product labels and allergen information.

Do not use NourishShape as a substitute for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified professional. Seek professional guidance before making significant dietary or exercise changes, particularly if you are pregnant, under medical care, have an eating disorder, allergy, metabolic condition or other health concern. Contact emergency services in an emergency.

5. Allergies and dietary restrictions

Dislike filters and ingredient alternatives are convenience features and are not guaranteed allergy controls. Recipes, uploaded plans and alternatives may contain allergens or unsuitable ingredients. You remain responsible for checking every ingredient, label, preparation method and risk of cross-contamination.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of meals, recipes, notes, ingredients and other content you submit. You grant NourishShape a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process and display that content only as needed to provide, secure and maintain the service. You confirm that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not infringe another person’s rights.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the service unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm another person;
• attempt to access another account, bypass security or probe the service without permission;
• upload malicious code or disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service;
• submit content that infringes rights, is abusive or is otherwise unlawful; or
• misrepresent NourishShape outputs as medical advice or professional certification.

8. Intellectual property

NourishShape, its branding, interface, software, original meal collections and service content are owned by or licensed to the service operator and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for your own content, these Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You may use the service only for personal, non-commercial purposes unless we agree otherwise in writing.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep NourishShape available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, update, change or discontinue features. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of material changes that significantly affect account holders.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or terminate access where you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, misuse the service, or where continued operation is no longer reasonably possible. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that estimates, meal information, third-party content or user-submitted information will be complete, current or suitable for a particular person. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be limited. Subject to that, NourishShape is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by reliance on general wellness estimates, user-entered information, third-party services, or matters outside our reasonable control. Any other liability will be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. It forms part of the framework governing your use of the service.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect service, legal or operational changes. The updated date will appear above. If a material change affects existing users, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except that consumers living elsewhere may retain mandatory rights to bring claims in their home jurisdiction.
